As concerns increase surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are committed to doing whatever we can to provide a safe environment for you and your family.
To that end, we are monitoring this situation closely. Daily, we are assessing the current public health news and policy updates issued by the CDC and other appropriate agencies, applying their recommendations to our current situation.
While God has not given us a spirit of fear, he has called us to love our neighbors and to contribute to the welfare of our community. Exercising caution is not merely wise, but is a tangible way of expressing love toward others.
How to Watch Services
For the foreseeable future, we will not meet for worship gatherings. Each week we will send out our Digital Gathering via email (if we have your email address), or you can participate in the gathering directly at awakening seattle.com.
These services will be archived and available at any time on our messages page.
Resources for Bible Study and Prayer
We are so encouraged by the way you’re loving on and serving your community in this season. We are praying that God would strengthen and encourage you to keep finding ways to image Christ to your homes and neighbors in the coming days, weeks, and months.
As a church, we want to provide resources to help you do this well, so we’re sharing a discipleship resource called “Don’t Waste Your Quarantine.” In it, you’ll find various tools and resources on how to leverage this season in regards to your home, spiritual disciplines, your community, and more.
Your giving at Awakening Church helps us support our local ministry that leads the way as an advocate for our city and the entire Seattle area. Even when times are uncertainty, our faithfulness in giving shows that our dependence is truly in Christ alone. This is NOT a time for us to pause, hoard, or panic… it’s a time to be on mission. This is our moment to display Jesus and declare the good news to our neighbors and the world.
Giving online is simple and easy. It is a great way to give tithes and offerings from the privacy of your own home. Click here to give now.
While we won't be able to gather as City Groups in person, we want to encourage every group to continue to relationally engage and meet virtually each week during this season. This is a great time for you to assist your "technologically-challenged" small group leader, as you use one of the great virtual meeting platforms out there!
City Group leaders: we will continue to resource you each week with resources ranging from how-tos for virtual community tools to weekly group curriculum.
All other official Awakening Church events are postponed until the lifting of Governor Jay Inslee's Executive Order. We will assess, in due time, whether we can reschedule these events.
