The book of James is unique. It’s memorable, practical, and can get all in your face. The book of James jumps straight into the issues and challenges of daily life. James has a way of taking the doctrines of the gospel and practically bringing them down to earth. James wants you to do something with the gospel you’ve been given—to live it out. James could have referred to himself as Jesus’ brother. Instead, he calls himself “a servant of God.” And through his book, he’s calling us to do precisely that—to serve God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
