WE EXIST TO BE A CATALYST FOR SPIRITUAL AWAKENING BY LIVING THE LIFE OF A JESUS FOLLOWER.
Everything we do is centered on connecting people to follow Jesus. If you want to understand our mission, you need to understand what we believe following Jesus is all about. Jesus said, “Follow me!” When He spoke these words, what did He mean? He was not offering an invitation to a destination, rather, it was an invitation to a relationship with a Person who would radically change one’s way of life. What was true then is true today. Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with Jesus, resulting in radical life change. Following Jesus is the heart of Christianity. As we study Jesus in the New Testament, we find that his life was all about relationships. First, his relationship with the Father, second, His relationship with his disciples, and third, His relationship with the people who didn’t know God at all. So what does the life of a Jesus follower look like? The same as the life of Jesus: relationships. At Awakening Church, we use four keywords to describe these relationships…
DEPEND.
A Jesus follower depends on Jesus and other Jesus followers personally and daily.
DISPLAY.
A Jesus follower serves those who don't yet know Him.
DECLARE.
A Jesus follower declares the good news of Jesus.
DEPLOY.
A Jesus follower deploys on mission to make disciples.
We believe there are 4 strategic ways that you and I can choose to invest our time that grows all three of these relationships. We are calling it the 5% Life! As you invest your time in these ways, we believe you will deepen your walk with God, grow in community, and engage in God’s global mission in greater ways.

1% of your day—approximately 15 minutes—in God time daily.

1% of your week—approximately an hour and a half—in Gather time weekly

1% of your month— approximately seven hours—in Group time consistently

2% of your year—approximately 7 days—in Go time annually
We are convinced that if you embrace “The 5% Life” as a starting point, the other 95% of your life will be changed forever as you abide in Christ, connect in community, and share in the mission.
